When you hear someone mention elbow Beach Bermuda, they may be talking about one of Bermuda's finest beaches or they may be talking about a resort of the same name that sits on the beach. This mile-long beach located on South Shore Road in Bermuda has beautiful pink sand and is buffered by a coral reef which gives it the calmest waters for swimming in all of Bermuda. The shape of the beach gently curves like an elbow, thus the name. It is located near Hamilton and is actually divided into two sections. One which is a public section, and another that is reserved for the guests of the elbow Beach Hotel.

The coral reefs add protection from the currents as well as interest and a shipwreck, the Pollockshields lies offshore across from the hotel, not too far out and a good swimmer could snorkel out there pretty easily.

At Elbow Beach Bermuda, you can rent an underwater scooter or hook up with a diving or kayak tour at the hotel. This beach is very close to Hamilton and, is therefore, a favorite of locals as well as visitors. Often times there are volleyball games there in the evening. The beach does have toilets and if you're hungry you can go up to the road and get something to eat from the lunch wagon.

The resort hotel offers the best of both worlds, easy access to elbow Beach in a world-class resort. The main building dates back to 1908 and the 104 cottages and 131 guestrooms are situated amidst the hotels 50 acres of beautiful gardens.

Along with that you also get many entertainment and dining options. You can choose from Mediterranean seafood, grilled food, contemporary cuisine or light snacks and cocktails. Dine outside under the stars or eat at the poolside restaurant. If you like nightlife, there is a nightclub at the hotel.

In addition, the elbow Beach Bermuda resort offers changing rooms, lounge chairs, umbrellas towels and showers which are for its guests only on the beach. Guests can also enjoy their full food and beverage service as well as rent snorkeling, kayaking and diving gear from the concession. The hotel also has a large pool which is heated in winter along with a Jacuzzi. Of course, there is a spa with six individual spa suites and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
